Summer 2026: seven workshops and a pub quiz
Agentic AI in production with Semrush, AI agents for FLINTA* people with JetBrains, algorithm discovery with juna.ai and more – this summer, we ran seven hands-on workshops and a pub quiz with our partners.
Between 16 April and 24 June, we had eight hands-on events in ten weeks:
- Semrush: Operating Agentic AI in Production (16 April) – Saeid Nobakht on testing, observability and operations for reliable agentic systems.
- JetBrains: Building AI Agents (30 April) – Our workshop for FLINTA* people. Ivan Dolgov and Aral D. from the JetBrains Cloud Platform team showed how to run Gemma models locally with Ollama, orchestrate agents with smolagents and connect them to tools via MCP. The university internet was “challenging”, but Ivan and Aral didn’t miss a beat.
- G-Research: Pub Quiz (8 May) – Maths brain teasers and a look into quantitative finance.
- juna.ai: The Heuristic Scientist (3 June) – Nima Siboni on LLMs that propose, test and improve algorithms in an open-ended discovery loop.
- QuantCo: Build Your Own AI Agent (10 June) – Moritz Wilksch and Pavel Zwerschke went from a plain LLM API to an agent that writes, compiles and fixes documents.
- dida: Theory Meets Practice #3 to #5 (29 April, 27 May and 24 June) – Deep learning on €5 microcontrollers with Elias Trommer (Infineon), scientific discovery with AI memory with Lazar Obradović (cognee), and AI for precision medicine with the Aignostics team. More in our recap of the series.
Thank you to Semrush, JetBrains, G-Research, juna.ai, QuantCo and dida! All workshops are listed on the workshops page.
